But love doesn't either,

and i'm choosing love.”

About Woojis Bakery

"Woojis" was more than a nickname. It was a bond, a blessing, and now—my bakery's name.

My name is Kaley Petersen, and Woojis Bakery was born from both heartbreak and hope.
On December 17th, I lost my dad—my best friend, my only parent, and my biggest supporter. As a single father, he gave up everything to raise me. He didn't have health insurance and struggled quietly with health issues he couldn't afford to treat.
Just three days before he passed, I felt an urge to visit him—a rare Saturday visit. He looked pale and tired. I hugged him tighter than ever and left, not knowing it would be the last time I'd see him alive. That night, I called him and our conversation ended with, "I Love You Goodnight, Wooji." It was the last thing I ever heard him say.
He passed away alone in the property I grew up in. Since then, I've been doing everything I can to hold things together—for my kids, for myself, and for him. I'm now fighting to save the property he died in—the home filled with every memory of our life together.
In the midst of grief, I started Woojis Bakery—named after the nickname my dad gave me. Every cookie I bake is a tribute to his love, his selflessness, and his warmth. Baking has become my way to stay connected to him and to fight for the home where he raised me.
When you order from Woojis, you're not just buying a sweet treat—you're helping carry forward a father's legacy and a daughter's love.
With love,
